The classics call Food God the gentlest star: it "generates wealth and controls Seven Killings," and when strong, "clothing and food come naturally" (《三命通会》). Its classical fear is the Owl (偏印) seizing it — the 枭神夺食 pattern.
In a chart
Food God is the Day Master's same-polarity output: sustained talent, craft, cultured production, enjoyment, and classically children and descendants. It earns indirectly — create value through skill and wealth follows — and it protects, being the star that tames Seven Killings' pressure into usable authority. It spends the Day Master's qi, so a rooted chart vents through it gracefully while a depleted one exhausts itself performing.
