丙
Yang Fire
About
丙 (Bǐng) is the 3rd of the 10 Heavenly Stems (天干) in BaZi — Yang Fire. Season: Early Summer · Direction: South · TCM organ: Heart / Small Intestine. Combines with 辛 (丙辛合水 — whether it fully transforms depends on chart context). Produces 戊己; controls 庚辛.
丙 is Yang Fire — the sun itself in classical imagery: radiant, warm, impossible to ignore, shining on everyone impartially. It is the most outwardly expressive of the ten stems, associated with openness, enthusiasm and natural visibility. Where its Yin counterpart 丁 focuses light, 丙 floods the world with it. Its combination partner is 辛 (丙辛合水).

In a chart, this means…
In a chart, 丙 is traditionally read as warmth and presence: generous, direct, energising the people around it, uncomfortable staying hidden. Its classical caution is glare — brightness that overwhelms, or burns itself out. As always, the rest of the chart decides how strongly the image applies.
