FALSE. 七杀 is the element that controls your Day Master at matching polarity — an archetype of pressure, ambition and decisive command. Yixin Academy's own teaching convention renders it "Fighting Spirit." Well-channelled, it is the signature of generals, surgeons and founders; the dramatic name describes intensity, not bloodshed.

Does Rob Wealth (劫财) mean you will be robbed or betrayed?

Accepted Answer

FALSE. 劫财 is your own element at opposite polarity: competitive peers in your arena. It describes rivalry over resources and the double-edge of strong networks. Whether it costs or pays depends on Day Master strength — a weak chart welcomes the reinforcement.

Does a 'bad chart' mean a bad life?

Accepted Answer

FALSE, and the premise is wrong. Classical BaZi doesn't grade charts good/bad; it assesses balance, structure and timing. A "difficult" structure with the right Useful God and supportive luck pillars routinely outperforms a "pretty" chart run carelessly. The chart is terrain, not verdict — the classics are explicit that conduct and timing decide what terrain yields.

If you're missing an element, must you add it — wear its colour, add it to your name?

MISLEADING. The remedy logic is real but the trigger is wrong: what a chart needs is its Useful God (用神), determined from season, strength and structure — not from spotting an absent element. Plenty of charts are better off without their missing element. Blanket "you lack water, wear blue" advice is the most common tell of a shallow reading.

Does a zodiac clash year (犯太岁) guarantee a bad year?

EXAGGERATED. An annual branch clashing your natal branch marks real destabilisation — movement, separation, change of state — and deserves attention. But clashes can also "open" storage branches and release stuck situations; classical texts treat some clashes as productive. Magnitude depends on your whole chart, not the animal on a poster.

Is BaZi just Chinese horoscopes, or the same as Western astrology?

FALSE. Different machinery entirely: BaZi runs on the sexagenary calendar — ten stems and twelve branches expressing five-element interactions — with no planetary positions anywhere. Western astrology reads the sky at birth; BaZi reads the calendar's elemental state at birth. Both are birth-moment systems; the resemblance ends there.

FALSE, classically acknowledged. Same birth data yields the same natal pillars, but classical method already splits from there: luck-pillar direction differs by gender and the same pillars land in different families, places and choices. That is a depth question, not an entry barrier.

Is BaZi religious worship, or incompatible with my religion?

FALSE as stated. BaZi involves no deities, offerings or worship — "Ten Gods" (十神) is a technical label for elemental relationship archetypes, an unfortunate translation artefact. It is closer to a classical typology-and-timing system than to a religion. Whether it fits a person's own convictions is theirs to decide; the practice itself is analytical.
